We have a 2019 Ascent with less than 25K miles. Over the past two trips our radio started doing wierd things. The first thing that happen, the radio controls stopped working. you could adjust the volumne control, you could turn it up or down it showed an increase in volume but nothing happened. We could not change channels. I tried everything and nothing happened. I turned the car off and on and it started working properly. The 2nd time while the radio is on it goes silent for about 3 to 5 seconds about every 10 to 15 minutes no matter what station it is on
Has anyone else experienced this?

Try recording the issue and schedule an appointment with your service department. Some folks have had issues with the headunits.

One thing you can try on your own is by holding the power(volume) button down until the unit turns off and the StarLink logo appears. Also there is a software update available, check for availability for your model.

Please go to Settings->General->System Information and let me know what firmware version you are running. I only need the number starting with Rel. Nav or non-navigation?

Also let me know the build month and year of your car. It will be on the b pillar on the top right of the vehicle information plaque.

I can probably help you through fixing this.

@Ocean Blue awesome!!! You're updated high enough that you can do Over The Air updates - you just need a wifi connection. Yet, at the same time, you're far enough back that your problems could be being caused by the firmware.

If you want, I will do a quick video for you tomorrow during the day, walking you through all the steps, so you can update your head unit, and then fix the presets issue.

That would be awesome. Thank you. (y)
