I put a new set of Wildpeaks on my Ascent about 2 weeks ago. Side note; I didn't love or hate the stock Falkens.

Initial impressions:
Road Noise - A lot less than I expected. I'm not sure they are any louder than the stock Falkens to be honest.

Dry Road (45* - 60*) - As good or better than stock. I expected to see a slight dip in performance with dry road handling, but these tires do well on dry pavement.

Wet Roads - I was driving in really heavy rain recently with lots of standing water on the highways. The Wildpeaks were noticeably better than the stock Falkens. I usually felt comfortable in the stock tires, but these are better. They were glued to the road in areas where other cars were hydroplaning. I think they were also better than the Toyo Observe GSi-5's and Blizzak DM-V2s I had used in 'standard' PNW non-freezing wet weather.

MPG - I might've taken a 1/2 to 1 mpg hit. It's a little early to tell, but it hasn't been significant.

I bought the Wildpeaks for light off-roading and winter weather. Neither of which I've experienced yet. I'll give my thoughts on those situations once I get a few under the belt.
So far, I'm happy with the purchase.

That had crossed my mind, but I didn't want to jump to conclusions on that. I forgot when the transition date was. Guess we'll see how it goes. Really looking forward to some snow, but I think we probably will be waiting for a bit here in PA. I do have a boondocking trip in the mountains of Northern PA planned the weekend before Christmas, so theres a chance we may see some snow there. We tow our little Scotty camper back about 10 miles of narrow dirt roads, and some of those can get sketchy.
Have you experienced snow with these tires yet? I'm following this forum to see how well they perform in the winter

Not yet, still waiting! We're heading camping in Northern PA this weekend, and expect to have some snow up there.

Finally got to test the Wildpeaks on our camping trip in Northern PA this weekend. The snow wasn't very deep, but it was on 11 miles of windy snowcovered dirt roads with a few steep grades, towing our little camper. The road grades on the north face of the mountain are typically pretty icy, and even in those areas the tires hooked right up. It was 15°f when we got to camp Friday night, and got up into the upper-20's during the day, so overall it was a pretty nice weekend. :p

Leaving camp yesterday I got to test out X-Mode for the first time, and absolutely love it! The controlled descent while towing a 1500lb camper down snowy/icy dirt trails was perfect and easy. The two other vehicles in our group were both Chevy pickups and those guys both commented about how icy the road felt. I really didn't notice :) There is no way I would have tried this trip on the stock tires.

We're planning on heading back up to this spot again towards the end of January, so I expect there to be a lot more snow then. Can't wait!

Just got a set of wildpeak A/T’s in 245/65-17. They look beastly! The ride seems smooth and a little softer so far. I’ll find out more tomorrow when I take a road trip on them! Thanks @Discount Tire for good prices and service!

Nice! Which rims are those?
They are Liquid Metal Shadows in 17 in size. I am working on starting a trend. ??

My friends at @Discount Tire are to thank for people knowing that they fit over our front calipers. They helped me test over a half dozen 17in rims find these. Nice to see other people running them too.

The Wildpeaks really continue to impress. I took the family up to Timberline Lodge (Mt Hood) early on New Years Day and this was the weather:

A ton of rain at lower elevations, but when we started to climb, conditions got pretty sketchy. The Ascent/Wildpeak setup felt really, really good in the snow/slush/ice. I was really wanting a tire I could comfortably run year round and I think this may be it.

These new Falkens look great! Keep the reviews coming. I'd like to hear how they do in warmer weather. I probably will get some mileage out of the stock tires until I get some plans to go a bit off-road. Once I do, this seems like the way forward!

Love these tires! Went camping at our spot in Northern PA this past weekend, and got to explore some really gnarly logging trails. Towed the camper like a dream, even down some slick 6-7% grades. X-Mode is a beast!

I have a Limited and just had the stock size Wildpeaks installed 6 days ago. Today I drove out to Colorado ski country on them. Weather was pretty good on the way out and I didn’t notice any significant noise difference and mileage seemed to be about the same. I didn’t really encounter any snowy/icy roads until getting to Loveland pass, but there was no sliding or lack of control going up or down the pass. On the way home, it snowed pretty much the entire drive but it felt like driving on nothing more than wet roads. I’m pretty happy with these tires.
