I want easy access to rear gate when bikes are loaded. Swing rack seems to be the best option. I have no intention to remove the rack when not in use.

I reiterate my recommendation to get a platform type hitch mount rack. A few can swing out and others can be mounted with a swing out adapter.

Getting bikes up on the roof of the Ascent is a chore indeed!

@LMPDX how’s the Ridgeway 5 working for you? Any issue with the required 1.5” pin depth vs 1 3/8” depth on the oem hitch?

I have 3 kids so we need to be able to transport 5 bikes.
