Water on passenger side floor board

So after coming back home this evening and parking in the garage my mom noticed quite a bit of water on the passenger side floorboard of my 2019 Ascent. Upon further inspection it seems to be coming from left of the glove box. Do I have an air conditioning problem? Is that where the condenser is located under the dash? I thought that is what drained under the vehicle and shouldn't be dropping water in the car.

Problem solved. Pulled the hose off the evaporator and about 6 to 8 ounces of water poured out. All clean water and no debris. I then used my compressor at 80 psi to blast air through the drain line and my son said a big shot of water came shooting out. He couldn't tell if there was something in there, but he said it was a fair amount of water that came out. So I think something got up in there and clogged the line. Went for a drive with the A/C at full blast and max cold and drips were coming out from under the car every second or so after about a 7 mile drive. Looks like the issue is resolved as on the drive back we saw no drips on the floor board or water of any type.

Agree, but I did check it today when I rectified the issue and it looked pretty good. 12K is the change interval and I plan to do it at the next oil change in 2,500 miles. That will be 27K on this filter. Really I need to do it every second oil change interval and that would be better. Luckily the evaporator drain hose is super easy to get to after removing the glove box. Just stuffed a bunch of shop towels down behind the carpet when I pulled it back as I knew there would be water pouring out. Worked perfect and absorbed all the water that came out.

A good tool for cleaning those lines and the sunroof drains is thicker-sized plastic trim line for weed cutters. It is not stiff enough to puncture the tube as some wire might. I use it to help clear the debris from the tail light structures. I'm glad yours cleared so easily.

I think the A/C is normally on most of the time, even in winter, to remove humidity, not only to cool the car. Correct me if I am wrong.

Oddly enough, a good friend told me three days ago that his 2021 Honda Accord hybrid has been in the shop for three weeks because of water damage to his dashboard and floor which the dealer has not yet been able to find a cause for! I suggested he ask about the windshield as a source since they haven't found the leak where they expected to, including apparently at the A/C draining point.

It seems that doing it the way I have been running it isn't good as the evaporator, especially in the summer, will always be wet when the car is parked. I would imagine this will cause mildew
Been Driving cars with automatic AC in Florida for over 30 years and mildew in the AC system has never happened despite never turning off the automatic temp control. The clogs can be caused by road debris or leaf litter falling into the fresh air inlets. My French door refrigerator's drain has gotten clogged with dog fur that gets drawn into the drain pipe from the vacuum that is created whenever the fridge door is opened.
