I wonder how much engineering has changed for the engine, transmission and suspension since 19. With some additional refinement to these areas the Ascent would be top notch. I'm not taking TSB stuff. I'm suggesting real component changes.
The engine hasn't needed any refinements since 2017, so, all it's gotten is tune tweaks for changes in each model year (eg 2023+ with different amount of cooling, and 2021+ with slightly different gearing).
The CVT has gotten software revisions over the years, and 2026 will be no different. The physical aspect of the CVT got changes in 2023 that included a new pressure sensor added to it and a new oil/pressure pump. The rest of the design is largely unchanged from the debut of this version of the HT-TR690 in the 2019 Ascent.
