I am trying to diagnose a noise problem and would like to eliminate 1 culprit. I have basically replaced all my suspension components a few months back but have since developed an annoying sound which kinda makes the car not fun to drive. IT sounds like something flapping in the wind and it is going to fall off. It seems to be coming from the driver's side front area.
At any rate, some of the recently installed parts included adjustable endlinks. I think I have them set to near the OEM length and have a pic to prove it. What I am wondering is if someone can take a pic of their sway bar position if they are running the factory endlinks. So in the attached pic, the part with the yellow tape seems to be at about a 45 angle. IS that about the same as stock? If this angle is drastically different I may swap the OEM endlinks in this weekend to see if that helps things. If not, time to test something else.
Is it possible a brand new strut fails in 2 months? sure, but I am hoping not.
