Hi good people of this forum! A few days go, I noticed CarPlay wasn't coming on with my iPhone 14 in my 2024 Limited Ascent. Then I realized my phone wouldn't connect to the car's Bluetooth at all. I was also having issues with my AirPods and thought it was a phone issue. However, I've since resolved the AirPods issue, and other Bluetooth devices connect to my phone--just not my car.
I did successfully pair my husband's iPhone 15 to my Ascent with no issues. So it seems like a specific problem between my phone and my car. I have done ALL THE THINGS Google/Subaru/forums suggest to try to reconnect, but no dice (restart, reset, forget device, etc etc etc). When you go to connect a new device through the infotainment screen, it just spins and spins and nothing comes up on my phone.
Today, I tried to factory reset through the settings on the infotainment screen, and it kept giving me the "unsuccessful"/not able to reset message.
Google says my next step is to disconnect the battery, and then after that it's the dealership. I'll try the battery tomorrow. In the meantime, anyone have a similar issue and figure out the solution?? I'm trying to avoid the dealership; it's a big drive and a huge time suck. TIA!
