We are new to the market of crossbars and cargo boxes. It seems the two primary makers are Thule and Yakima. Preferences?

We bought the subaru bars when we picked up our Ascent and we picked up a Yakima Skybox 16. We did a dry run last weekend with it on the highway (empty) and didn't have any wind noise. Road trip from SD to MN in a couple of weeks so we are pretty excited to get luggage in it and out of the vehicle. Install takes about 10 minutes if you have your rack preset up. I don't think you can make a bad choice between the two products but I don't know much about the Thule's.

I’ve always had Yakima and been happy with them. I currently have the core bars for the weight limit on them. I also have a skybox low which I love. Used it for my Forester but I don’t know that I’ll need it in the Ascent
