My routine is pretty much the same every day. When I leave work I get in my Ascent, start it up, and pull out of my space. When I put it in drive, there's a squeek and small surge. When I pull forward and turn left out of my spot, there's a growling/rumbling noise and a slight shaking. 50 yards down, I turn left again onto the parking lot entrance and the same growling/rumbling happens. 150 yards down, I make a 90 degree right turn from a slight downhill position onto flat and there is the same growling/rumbling noise and shake. Around this time the vehicle stops doing this, or I don't have any more turns that cause it.
Has anyone had a similar noise/shake? Is it a cold transmission?

wow, I guess I'm alone on this one.
I've never had my CVT make the grumbling sound you are describing when it's cold.

The squeek is commonly referred to as a chirp and it's normal for Subaru CVTs.

Going from Reverse through Neutral and into Drive there is a short surge when the forward gear engages on my Limited with about 13,000 miles.
