My BIL has a Gen 5 Outback and has had his share of wheel bearing problems. I was disappointed to need control arm bushings at under 36K miles on my Gen 4 (but luckily the warranty covered it).



How much of the Ascent suspension is borrowed from the existing parts bin and how much might be really "new and improved" for the Ascent?

that’s my question, how is it “beefed up” or is it?
I know from looking at some online PP diagrams that the SGP frame is obviously longer and stronger to handle the towing duties of the Ascent so I would assume the suspension hardware is upgraded. There is a member of the Impreza forums that works at SIA and says there are a lot shared parts with the Ascent. Like I said shared with the other SGP converts.
