Example: Checked myself out of the "Waiter's Club", Went to the dealership to pick up my Ascent!

Example: Finally got my window tints done, now I can't open my windows for a week

Example: Brought the Ascent to a detailer and got it sealed and waxed.

Paid it off today. Best mod I can think of. I had the loan out for about a week and half, ended up paying $24 in daily interest. 2022 Ascent all mine! (As soon as I get the title....)

Whoa whoa wait a minute. No one on earth has bad enough credit history in the past present or future that can get that amount. 24x7=168 I think you meant 168 per month and don't trust that credit karma for your score. I was at VW having my oil changed and then they said hey you need your 60K mile service. But I'm only at 40K miles and they said by time it's needed. Okay how much950.00 so I left light to say the least. But back to Ck they have my credit at 816 I thought that can't be right so I had VW do a hard inquiry came back at 863 now that's better I thought.

Scratched it 😤

I was installing my window deflectors. I popped the drivers side on (no tape yet) to test fit, and I left them hanging for a moment by the metal clips. That was a stupid move, and the front one promptly fell off scratching both the plastic window deflector and the door. Not just a clear coat scrape, its down to the primer.

Speaking of scratches: We've had our Ascent for less than a week. My wife didn't pull into the garage far enough and closed the garage door, which scratched the tailgate pretty nasty in three different places... $1,500 to repair.
Hooray for insurance! Boo to repainting a brand new car!
Looking at the bright side (which is tough, honestly), I'm a fan of de-badged vehicles so maybe I'll be able to convince my wife to leave the badges off when they repaint it. :unsure:

Ouch that sucks!! I'll probably just live with mine in the end, but if it was like you're describing, yeah that needs to be fixed!

In the morning I ordered and set appointment for installing new tires on Tuesday.
Then I proceed to install promitive racing midarmor and rear differential skid plate.
Just when I finish, discount send me email that they can install mine tires right away.
1 1/2 hour later al is done !!!!

First oil change and tire rotation, along with changing the cabin air filter. I took my time getting it up in the air and taking the wheels off since this was my first time, but no surprises in the end. The oil change was very straight forward and no surprises there either since it's the same layout as my Outback. The drain plug is actually just a bit more accessible which was nice.

On a side note, I'm not a fan of the floor jack point on the front cross member. It's way far back and doesn't have the convex "bulb" to rest in on the floor jack plate like my Outback does (and pretty much every other car I've worked on in the past). It's not really an impediment, just needs a little more attention than usual.

Great idea, though I just installed MagSafe charging and wireless Carplay in both cars, so no longer needed.

Got my Primative Racing lift kit installed with 0.25" top hat spacers. Happy with how it sits now.
