What Color Are You Thinking Of?

Of course we haven't seen what colors are available yet for the Ascent as we haven't even seen a production model but which color are you looking forward to seeing and potentially getting?

I'm always a fan of white and Subaru's Satin White Pearl paint is a huge hit for me especially seeing it clean and in person. Looks so velvetty if that makes sense.

What are you guys thinking of?

I always liked Tungsten Metallic but never thought any current Subaru wears it properly. Now, with the Ascent we have the perfect pairing. Its a color that takes on more of a premium feeling tone so you can see where that plays in here.

The Outback is one slight exception but still not good enough:

Hm.. that's actually a different color than I was expecting but a good one nonetheless. It's a great color that would probably hide scratches and what not pretty well as well. With the larger size of the Ascent and more of a boxy type of look, it should work quite nicely.
I've always hated the generic white, silver, black paints as they make my car infinitely harder to find in a crowded parking lot. Hopefully, Subaru will offer a few of the more colorful paint options for the Ascent, mostly red or blue and maybe even forest green.
Do you think they'd have a World Rally Blue option for the Ascent? That'll definitely ensure you stand out as that's quite the iconic color that you see and not very common to see in parking lots by far.

I love this color, not sure how it would look on this though. I really like most of Subaru's blue colors over the years, I assume they will have some shade of it.
Can you image and STI version of the Ascent. World Rally Blue, Gold or Black wheels, and a hood scoop like the originals had LOL

Now that would stand out in a parking lot for sure haha!
That`s too sporty of a color to use here, instead they need this as an opportunity to bring forward some higher end colors. Maybe on an STi trim WRB will work but not on any regular trim.
What sort of color would you consider a higher end color? @Familyrally

That beige offered on the new Outback is what i'm after currently unless someone can show me something better. If not that, then black will be it. Both give that high end feel.
I feel satin white pearl fits into that category as well because of well.. the pearl in it. But a beige or champagne color would very well do it.
The silver / stainless steel colored concept looks quite nice.
The concept color is really nice but I feel like it'll get lost in the sea of other silver cars/suvs on the roads. I want something that'll stand out slightly, but obviously not as much as a lime green or something lol.

to me what matters more is how well that silver looks on the ascent and these days silvers vary quite a bit in tone, so if the Ascent is really stunning in silver then that might be enough of a reason for me to get it. could care less about everything else out there in silver.

I'm hoping for a rich, deep stainless steel look. Like you guys, it it's just run of the mill silver, I'll be looking for another color.

I got see the first concept (Viziv 7) at a local auto show this spring and liked that color. It was sort of a purplish silver. Looked very rich.
I just hope they don't make the marketing that they've done with the Touring trims on the Outback - only one interior option and 4 exterior options - none of them exclusive to the trim. I love the new Magnetite Gray on the 2018 Outback, this would probably be my first choice, unless they released a Pure Red. Otherwise my fall back would be Crystal Black or White (White with Black Cladding looks like a Stormtrooper...)
Personally, I'd like to see more "non metallic" colors like those offered on the CrossTrek, not just on the Ascent, but even on the Outback and other similar vehicles on the market.

Same here since those tend to not show scratches as much or any imperfections in the paint. This is going to be my daily driver so with that comes the need to prepare for how the paint will be impacted by the elements. I guess that might have been one of your concerns as well.
Got to be green for me.

I love the outdoors and want a nice medium to a darker green.
