I just put in my order. I've been looking for an official bumper cover that is black (instead of chrome), so am excited to get this.

I can't wait to see it on an Ascent. I went ahead and put the OEM version on my car. The "black chrome" was also available, but it wouldn't match anything on my Limited. The Weathertech one is intriguing.

I wish I knew. I would have posted it here.The parts supplier I bought my chrome one from had a few black chrome ones for $29.99(!) These are OEM parts, and I paid $100 for mine because I wanted to go with the chrome.

NICE!!! I was iffy about passing on this for our new Onyx Limited, but it is a small bumper and I hatted that there was not a straight black option. Only black chorme. Feels like it defeats the point of the onyx to me. Plus it is cheaper. I'll be ordering this ASAP!

Weather Tech mats suck, but this should be good.

I had actually completely forgot I was on the notification list for the WeatherTech bumper cover. The email today was a total surprise. I also looked at the black chrome OEM version, but for me it was still too much chrome.

I was considering one of the generic bumper covers I see on amazon as well. I'd much rather have one that was designed for this specific vehicle.

I just got on their list to be informed when they have in-channel window deflectors. Subaru only offer those things with tape. I’ve not had much success with them.

I am on that list as well. I just don't like the Subaru ones, too big and clunky looking. Hopefully we will get some sooner than later.

Clunky? No. KLUNKY with a K. They look like something out of the old Fingerhut catalog.

When I ordered my '22 Onyx, I ordered the black chrome bumper cover. When it arrived & I looked it over last September, I told the salesman this isn't black & he must have ordered the wrong one. He said it was black chrome & went to the service dept. to bring out the chrome piece to show the difference. When he did, it was apparent I did in fact have the black chrome. I'm OK with it, but I definitely would have preferred it being darker.
I do like that Weathertech version. I'd frankly rather have that one.

FINALLY got around to installing the rear bumper cover. Sorry for the wait!

It's a bit thinner than I expected, but looks and feels rugged and it's rock solid once I stuck it on the bumper. After installing I grabbed the edges and yanked back and forth, it didn't move..I was able to rock the car around by grabbing the bumper cover. Seems pretty solid.

Looks good! Thanks for posting. I think this might be a good alternative to the stainless OEM version, especially at 40% of the cost of the OEM part.

Thanks for posting. The problem that I am having is people drag their suitcases out of the back and the sloped part of the bumper is getting scratched. It looks like the OEM version covers the sloped part of the bumper completely. But I can’t tell from your photo if the Weathertech covers this area.

Does the Weathertech cover the sloped area completely?
