Thanks for this. I was just thinking about checking in to see if they have them. Especially with winter coming. I do have a question if anyone gets cargo liner. I was wondering if it is flat as picture shows. I noticed with my 3rd row down that it isn't even with the trunk area.

The Subaru cargo liner is a steal compared to the Weather Tech. $109 for that? No way. Get the Subaru one it’s nice.
That remains to be seen. WeatherTech liners are typically of better quality and offer more coverage. I used the Subaru liners on my Forester and as a result, the carpet was ruined. Subaru liners were included with my Ascent, and I see the same issues.

I'm waiting for an actual photo of the Ascent WeatherTech liners. If they provide significantly better coverage then I'll gladly pay the money for them. It's a lot cheaper than replacing the carpet.

I’m talking about the rear cargo liner which was mentioned in my post. The Subaru model is great, covers all, nothing slides and is a huge saving over the price of the Weather Tech.

As far as Weather Tech, I’ve owned them for every vehicle I’ve owned up until a bad experience in my 2015 F350 King Ranch. They were a horrible fit, barely covered what was needed and barely contained liquid due to a sub par edge. They were so bad I made a YouTube on them.

I’m waiting for someone to post actual pics of the Weather Tech mats as well before I make my decision. I’m sure it won’t be much longer.

Just placed my order for front mats - will let you know my impressions when they arrive.

2nd and 3rd row mats are still "in development" according to Weather Tech.

WeatherTech Floor Mats

Have had these for my 2015 Forester and 2016 Crosstrek (the model specific laser-fitted mats). Now that they are available for the Ascent it’s a no-brainer. They fit well, and offer much better protection than the Subaru custom fit all-weather mats. Having said that I do not plan on buying WeatherTech’s rear floor mats for the second row seats as the stock Subaru all-weather floor mats in the rear are fine for our application.

I had husky liners for my Flex and they were fantastic. Molded to the floor wells, front, 2nd row and trunk liner. Easily caught rain, snow, anything and easily hosed out. They don’t have Ascent ones yet but hope they do make them and far cheaper than Weathertech.

I think if you check the other WeatherTech thread I believe someone posted a message about Husky not producing liners for the Ascent.

They look great!

I wish I could find something similar for the cargo area with the 3rd row down. The Lloyd Cargo Liners are cut to fit, but have no lip, just the texture to hold muck in place, and no protection for the sides. Maybe just a dog liner for the back instead since it'll fold up more compactly if I ever have a need for the 3rd row seating?

Liners

Mine came with the Subaru liners. The cargo liner is decent, probably equal to the Weather Tech. The other floor mats are pretty crappy. I'd spend the extra $ for Weather Tech. It also has the 3rd row seat back liners. These are pretty decent but it would be nice if Weather tech or someone came up with a liner that covers the cargo area with the 3rd row down.

Came today.

Are the second and third row available yet? Any pictures?
Just received mine. Huge difference between the Subaru and Weather tech. Well worth the $$.
