I recently went camping and plugged in my extension cord into the 120v to run an air mattress pump and it did not work. We did scored another outlet to finish the job. After reading the manual, it only can handle 100 watts. Can I instal or update the 120v to handle higher watts?

Thank you

Kevin

The 120v outlet is for light duty things like charging devices. You can purchase a more capable inverter to plug into the 12v accessory outlet in the back to handle (reasonable) loads like an air mattress pump.

The available accessory power in the Ascent is limited. As you found out, the 120V receptacle is limited to 100 watts. The 12V accessory plugs are limited to 10 amps at 12 volts, which is only 110 watts. If you want more than 120 watts, you'll need to connect directly to the battery and or modify the wiring. Either way, make certain you install a fuse or circuit breaker to protect the wiring.
