I had the Maxliners in my 2019 and decided to go with the Tuxmats this time around. I was going to go with the 3D Maxpiders but it was a tough decision. They fit and look great in my opinion! I was hesitant at one point because of the "puffy bubble jacket" look, but they don't present that way in person. They're also less shiny than I've seen in photos, which is a good thing to me.

If anything I wish the trasition between the 2nd and 3rd row mats could be smoother, but the two-piece design could be a good thing. The Maxliners are 1 piece for the 2nd and 3rd rows. I have noticed that it can get bunched up and end up sticking straight up in the air when people use the third row.

I bought Tuxmats for my '23 touring. I am finally picking it up tomorrow morning and I'm bringing at least the front mats with me because we are supposed to get a month's worth of rain tomorrow. The mats are very nice. I had WeatherTech in my Crosstrek and they are warping after almost 4 years.

I have found that the thrid row mats can slip around when people actually go back there and shuffle their feet around. They stay in place better than the Maxliners did, but the third row really doesn't have a deep well that the mats can sink into like the first two rows do.

The included velcro clips are OK. I ended up taking them off and applying my own heavier duty velcro to the transition between the 2nd/3rd row as well as under the foot area of the third row. Those things aren't going anywhere now. The OEM carpet mats had velcro as well so it seemed like a good idea.

Thank you! I have mine still in the box. Will install them in my Touring next week. How pain(ful/less) is the install? How long did it take, roughly , to do the install?
The mats go in just about as fast as the OEM mats. They're very flexible. The clips only take a few seconds each - same with the velcro. You'll be done in no time but might need do some trial and error with where to place the clips. Then if you're like me you might spend more time admiring the finished project than it took to do the installation. lol.

I also found out why I these are less shiny than other pictures of Tuxmats. At some point they changed the texture of the mats. They used to have a grain similar to the interior door plastic and were shiny. Now they've got a more geometrical pattern that is more matte. I like it better.

Thanks for pointing out that they are more matte. I was looking at reviews from 2-4 years ago and I wasn't sure I liked the texture, but looking at these comparing it looks MUCH better.

The TuxMats don’t fit well for the 2nd row under the front passenger seat. I have a 2023 Limited w/ tech package (with the Harmon/kardon sound system). There is an amplifier under the passenger seat but the Tuxmat is designed as if the amp doesn’t exist. 🫤 View attachment 19685
That's odd. I wonder if the amp can be moved a little bit? I also have the HK sound system and the amp does not interfere with the mat at all. You can kind of see it in this photo.

Thats weird...yours definitely looks shorter than mine. I bought the 8 passenger one but really that shouldn't change anything else for the front part of the 2nd row. In fact looking at the website, I can't tell any differences between the pics of the 7 vs 8 passenger.

Does the 3rd row middle aisle flap attach to the 2nd row middle aisle piece with velcro, or do the two flaps just lay on top of each other? If they're not velcro'd I'd worry that it would be a trip hazard
Those two pieces do not attach to each other, but I did put velcro as close to the edges as possible. Plus I used some of the included clips on the long center aisle piece. I think it's pretty sturdy and have not snagged a toe at that junction the times I've tried to go to the back. I think most people would step over that part. My kid and her friends haven't had any issue with it either.

My kids drag their feet everywhere. They've completely moved the oem all weather Subie mats out of place. We just got the Tuxmats installed in our Tesla and I like the fit and coverage. If I get a set for the Ascent, I'll figure a way to velcro the two pieces together. Putting some of those velcro clips on the edging my help as well. I ran out of those and Tuxmat is going to send me some more.

Installed my TuxMats this weekend - WAY nicer than the Husky Liners I've always used. I used some velcro strips along the entry points and joints in the back rows, and used the clips mainly in the front and near the B-pillar.

Just ordered a limited 7 seater with tech package, Anyone else have an issue with the 2nd row Tux mat not fitting because of the amp mounting under the front passenger seat?
@JoshMSr @joegeib
I took a pic of my Tuxmat and it is definitely different that the one that doesn't fit. It doesn't have that deep well and it's shorter to allow room for the amp. That is very strange. The Tuxmat website doesn't list different part numbers and the the one they have pictured on their site has the extended wells in the front.
