Roughly 1,500 miles on the Ascent and part-way through our road trip, the TPMS light started blinking for about 1 minute, then stayed on solid for about 20 mins. It then went away (while driving), and this repeated 3 or 4 times until I reached my destination. Manual says this is a "TPMS Malfunction" - anyone else experience this? I also checked the tire pressure (while driving, via the display) and it was reported all good, though I'm assuming the reported values cannot be trusted if the monitoring system is malfunctioning...

Was it raining at the time? Perhaps some large puddles?

Hmm. I don't think it was at the time, but we definitely drove through some heavy rains earlier on the trip. It's all normal now, I'll keep an eye on it.

Happened to me yesterday on road trip when it was pouring rain. Now it is back to normal. Anyone know reason behind it?

I suggest you ask the Discount Tire folks either at one of the stores or their website or through the Ascent vendor page.
