Looks like the TomTom Navigation Updates aren't "exactly" free during the first 3 years:

3. To be eligible for the free yearly map update a scheduled service must be carried out by a participating Subaru Service Centre during at least once every 12 months. For any missed scheduled services during a 12 month period, the yearly map update is forfeited.

Since it's a 2 hour+ round trip and more expensive to have them change the oil, I'm going to have to give this some serious thought if it applies to the Ascent also.

Well, I could be wrong, but I see a potential problem. The website you are looking at is Subaru Australia. (The .au extention)

Of course, I am assuming your not in Australia…?

Thanks folks, I didn't even notice that it was Australia. I just did a search while trying to get a hand on costs and found that. My apologies.

I ordered the model with Tom Tom nav, but honestly, I'll probably never use it. Google maps through Android Auto is far superior.
