Given the current circumstances, it’s possible you haven't driven your Subaru in a while. When you're ready to get back on the road, STARLINK Safety & Security is here for you. If you haven't turned on your Ascent in more than 13 days, the STARLINK systems in the vehicle may have gone into a sleep mode to help preserve its battery. You may experience an error message when sending a Remote Command to your Ascent from MySubaru. In order to make sure your Ascent is ready to receive remote commands, please follow the instructions below to manually turn on and off your Ascent. Once steps 1-3 below have been successfully completed, you will be able to resume sending Remote Commands to your vehicle.

Step 1: Ensure that your vehicle is safely parked in an area with good cell
phone reception
Step 2: Start your car manually from inside the vehicle and allow it to run for
at least 5 minutes
Step 3: Turn your vehicle off
Step 4: Using the MySubaru Mobile App or lock your doors
