Navigation is incredibly slow. It may take 10 minutes to route it to a certain address. Even if the address is within a fairly short distance like 10 miles or so. It's too frustrating and unacceptable.

Connect to your home Wi-Fi and download your map region (state).

Also make sure that you are at firmware version 4.18.20.50

You should find improved performance all around.

Regardless, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay will still outperform almost every built in system.

Please keep me posted. Even with full map data downloaded for your region, your car will be slower than most smartphone apps, because, when you use your car to navigate, it's doing all the work figuring out routes and taking into account traffic (or any exceptions such as "avoid toll roads" that you may have set). In the case of the most common smartphone apps, much of the routing data is calculated in the cloud in immense server farms that wouldn't fit in our cars... yet.
