Sirius-XM Traffic & Weather

On the Sirius-XM home screen (which shows the station name, song title, etc.) there is an icon for "Traffic & Weather Now". I would imagine it's there to program in your location station and have quick-jump capabilities. Problem is...mine's grayed out. Can't select it. Not sure how to save a station. Any insights? Thanks!

Yes that costs extra. Call them and demand all their services for $36.10 for 6 months. That is their best deal after they go round and round with you.

At first 6 month all XM services are included. Then xm radio stops and xm traffic data and such stays for 3 years.

I just got xm letter confirming this fact and asking to her low lock in price now.

I can see traffic on the map, but Traffic and Map is disabled for me as well.

The traffic and travel link should be activated. I purchased a used 2018 Outback and the XM traffic and travel link were also grayed out. The XM rep said they were to be active until 10/28/2018. She sent a signal to the car and rebooted the XM - now they both work. They should both have been activated when you purchased the Ascent. Call XM.

You need to select a city for the traffic and weather to be enabled. It is under the Browse button or look in the star link manual.
If you create an SXM account you should see you get traffic/weather for 3 years for free.

IMHO the map sucks. We tried to put in several address that showed up as correct and were in the wrong location. Traffic isn't worth paying for either. Can't wait for google maps to be available through car play.
