Hi there, I have a 2021 Ascent Limited 8 passenger. When both the second and third row are folded down there is still a horizontal gap between the two rows. I put my dogs in the back alot and I am worried they will fall through the gap and hurt their legs. Any suggestions to fill the gap? Any products you've found? TYIA

I got the same issue, just one Lab though. I’m thinking a chunk of black dense foam. Then maybe a sheet of Masonite. I’m also considering weekend car camping as well????

Just revisiting this post. Just got back from a road trip to DC. The pup was comfy with the quilt under the dog hammock with the 2nd row seats upright and all the way forward, third row folded down leaving room for storage between 2nd and 3rd. That got me thinking🤔 So I was playing with the second row down, head rests off and slid all the way forward. A 12v cooler and a storage bin will fit in the now larger gap and keep the second row from sliding back. They are just the right height and width to be able to lay my bedding over the top at night. I can stow a two burner Coleman plus a couple of smaller storage bins for dry supplies in the space behind the driver/passenger seats.Had the rear windows limo tinted, and cut out some reflectix panels to keep out light at night. Still playing with this and that to get it dialed in, but its looking like a stealth car camper
