Not sure when this started, but in my attempts to fix it, impressed how it could have gotten this way in the first place. Any advice on how to fix?

I'll pull as much slack as you can below the seat belt hanger, and then put an opposite twist in the belt and force/pull it up through the hanger. That should "untwist" the belt below the hanger.

Uh.... so, this is my SIL's noted one talent in life. She's really good at it.

I've watched her do her magic a few times, and she uses @hokiefyd 's method.

The few times I've had to do it, I attempted to un-wind the belt bit-by-bit (by force) through the hanger as I fed it through.

Does she have kids??

It happens in my baby's seat all the time. I have no consistent method of untwisting to offer unfortunately... its like one of those brain teaser puzzles

^ Yup. Her two boys and my daughter grew up together. :) And yes, that's when she got really good at it.

I try to feed the belts more carefully, and I've taught my daughter - who is somewhat of a car person - to also do so. But my wife....:sneaky:😖😭😤
