Greetings,

I've had two different neighbors kindly ring our bell in the evening to let us know that they noticed a light on in the Ascent. Apparently, the switched reading lights (i.e., those that are pressed to activate) don't shut off when the car is locked. This seems contrary to the manual, which includes the reading lights in descriptions of the "OFF delay timer" (page 285) and the "Battery drainage prevention function" (page 141).

I can imagine some valid reasons to want the lights to stay on, so perhaps this is as intended. Is this the norm? Can it be changed?

Thanks and enjoy.

My one experience with leaving a map light on overnight was that the car turned it off at some point but the next day after I started up that light stayed on after the others had dimmed because the switch was still in the on position.

There isn't a setting that I am aware of for battery drainage protection.
