Question about second row bench seats

Hi people! I have test driven (test drove?) a Touring, and another lower trim not sure which also with the 7-seat config. At first I was assuming we’d need the captains chair config due to lack of legroom in 3rd row, thinking my shortest kid (they’re not so little any more) would want to stretch out her legs up the middle. However, I was pleasantly surprised that the 3rd row legroom was fine, and unpleasantly surprised that the middle seat in the third row is as hard as a rock. In any case, my dear third child, most likely to be stuck back there, preferred to sit in one of the side seats and sort of recline sideways. THEREFORE, I think it’s the bench seating that would suit our needs the best (often have to transport my two elderly parents around), so—can anyone advise me of their properties? How flat do they fold and how far do they recline? Thank you in advance.

The bench folds further than captains chairs, probably still an inch or two of rise though. They recline plenty far- further than I would suggest driving around in but nice for napping. I am waiting for an order to arrive to further explore options. Only a couple test drives so far, both premium with bench.
