Phone quality is very poor when used with Apple play. Quality is perfect when used wih the Same iPhone 7 Plus using Bluetooth

Anyone seen it ?

It’s likely iOS problem though.

You should always get higher quality digital sound when tethered to the system with an Apple-approved cable versus Bluetooth. Perhaps try a different cable?

Just FYI...I bought a 4" Lightning Cable ("AmazonBasics Lightning to USB A Cable - Apple MFi Certified - Black - 4 Inches") which has worked quite well. I can tuck my iPhone into the little storage space and plug in the USB cable and it is short enough to be out of the way. Hoping this is helpful.

I've noticed that when my volume is maxed I tend to get a little distortion and static. I tend to keep it at max minus three "volume downs" and that seems to be pretty solid.

I think I also run with Acoustic booster turned on from the iPhone.
