With how nice they made the 2018 model it might be hard for you to move away from it.Just joined this forum. I'm a Honda loyalist but waiting anxiously for the Ascent which is a worthy contender to the Honda Pilot which I'm seriously considering. Just counting the months.
I'm partial to Honda and Toyota. Space for 3rd row seating is a must so that ruled out the Highlander. I stumbled upon the Ascent and Atlas. Not too enamored by the dated looks of the Atlas but the Subaru is nice. Looking forward to its debut! With how nice they made the 2018 model it might be hard for you to move away from it.
Have you at least seen it in person by now? Or even any other vehicles in the segment like the Ford Explorer and Nissan Pathfinder?
From the pics and videos, I hope the styling stays as close as possible to concept. It's almost perfect. I would call it athletic and modern. Keep the panoramic roof, screen on the rear centre console, elements of the "leather" look interior on the centre console and door panels but not so much on the dash. Would love to see integrated crossbars as in the Outback. Lose the electronic gear selector (give me a normal stick), window/lock buttons should be toggle, not screen. I'm also a little worried that the engine might not be adequate for this size of vehicle. Time will tell.Welcome to the forums firstly. The Ascent definitely looks great but this is all concept that we're seeing so I would still keep the open eye. Any features that you're hoping to stay from the concept though?
Knowing Subaru for many years, you can delete all the concept fancy stuff. From the pics and videos, I hope the styling stays as close as possible to concept. It's almost perfect. Yup, which is why I don't own a Subie at the moment (have owned 3 in the past). I sure hope the last concept is very close to the final product. I like both the exterior and interior. But I can be disappointed very easily.Such a shame that Subaru displays some very nice concepts and strip it of most features that a lot of people find appealing. Wonder why they do that.
