Welcome and congrats!
Congrats on the new ride, I think your story will be one that is more common now that the Ascent is available. So many options in each model to choose from, and now need for buyers to move to another brand if one vehicle doesn't seem just right. Finding that vehicle was your Goldilocks momentHi everyone! Thanks for letting me join! I had never even been IN a Subaru until yesterday! We were in the market for for a small SUV/Crossover type vehicle, having owned 2 Hyundai Santa Fes. My work offered a discount on Subarus so we went for a look. We had heard so many great things about Subaru, reputation, owner loyalty, quality vehicles, etc. After looking around online, I was focused on a shiny new red Forrester, which the dealer had sold the day before! Our salesman, Matt Pringle, at Hudiberg Subaru in Oklahoma City was awesome....knew the specs of EVERYTHING, and was so patient with all my (sometimes goofy) questions!
So we started test driving. First up was a Forrester, and I really liked it, but my husband was iffy. Into an Outback we went. Hubby loved it, and I was about 80% there, still liking the Forrester better. Then into a Crosstrek, great vehicle, but a bit smaller than we wanted. But in the showroom....there was a shiny gorgeous Crimson Red Pearl Ascent, with a big ol' SOLD sign on it. Matt saw the longing on my face and pulled around an ice silver Ascent Premium for us to drive. As soon as I got in and closed the door, I was in love. We drove it, and hubby was in love. We have never really needed a 3rd row. Like, ever. Back at the lot, we had all the cars we tested in a row and were inspecting. Matt comes back and tells us that the Ascents are being snapped up fast and they only have 3 available, the silver, a cinnamon brown (nice color, but not for us), and a Limited Crimson Red Pearl still in the prep area that came in on Friday, hadn't even been out on the lot yet. Hubby says my face lit up like a Christmas tree. Off Matt trotted to find it. We were sitting in the silver Ascent when he pulled up the red one and the heavens opened up and angels sang! I shot out of that silver one like it was a bad dream! There was my new vehicle! My Crimson Red Pearl Limited, 7 seater with captain's chairs in the second row. And she's MINE! OK, She's OURS as hubby demands I share. Still figuring out all her bells and whistles, but she's a dream to drive!
Congrats, my wife and I have a white one on order. We are also new to Subaru, well, for a brief time we bought a used 1984 wagon in 1991. She had it only few months and it was totaled by a wreck less driver. All of the Assents Comming to the dealership in Las Vegas were presold except the basic models. We ordered without driving one in mid May. Our Ascent is scheduled for a September delivery. It is so wonderful that you were able purchase one on the spot. Again... congrats! By the way, We were able to test drive in early June. No regrets.Hi everyone! Thanks for letting me join! I had never even been IN a Subaru until yesterday!
