Yes - I traded a BMW X5 for a 2020 Touring. I'm actually stunned how much I like the Ascent. I'm 6' 11" and the room in the Ascent is amazing.

The Ascent has most of the options the X5 had. Obviously it does not have the amazing BMW turbo 6, but the Ascent turbo 4 is a decent engine with surprisingly good pickup.

First lesson learned - check the tire pressure. Dealer left it at 43 PSI and that did a real disservice to the Ascent. Dropped it to 33 PSI and the ride and handling are much improved.

Someday I may get bored and compare the X5 to the Ascent. I was a very active BMW fan for over 25 years.

Mine also had way high tire pressure as delivered. The tpms sensors seem very accurate. My digital pressure gauge reads to .5 pounds and the tpms always registers the same 33 that I adjust to on the gauge.

I traded in a Lexus. Mine was 21 years old. 🤣

Welcome!
I hope you don’t get too bored not doing maintenance on the Ascent all the time 😉
Ironically, so far the Ascent has had more little issues than my last X5. The 2020 X5 is pretty solid now - of course once the warranty ends all bets are off.

Ascent issues so far. Way overinflated tires, noisy drivers side windshield wiper, and loose door drivers inside door handle. Arguably all stuff the dealer should have caught.
