They act really nice, but, it took a Facebook post to get them to properly value the car. And then, they still made it known they'd make up thousands more in damage to total it, even though the new ACV dropped the percentage to below 60%.
Hope you're back on 4 wheels before 1st snow. I did the single track (motorcycle) commute on LI for a year, 1975. I fitted my road bike, KZ650, with studded dirt bike tires and took only side streets. The fear of wiping out erased all the cold.
I would not expect much different from any other insurance company. that is their job. The adjusters make their money by minimizing the payouts. simple as that. You push/they push. No different than going up against a professionally trained interrogator. It starts out as not being an even playing field in 99% of cases. This is all they do every day, while for us it is fortunately a rare occurrence.
We learn from our mistakes, we learn from others, we research and be prepared if there is a next time. Even prepared, it never is happy face time.
