Hi All,

On the Limited the compass direction is Red in color.

Is it possible to change the color. I saw videos where the compass was a white color I believe on the Touring.

Not a huge deal obviously. Just a bit easier on the eyes IMO

it is easier on the eyes at night vs any other color, but i can see the desire to want to change it

Might be different as the Touring has a different mirror. On my current vehicle its red.

My guess is you'd have to take apart the mirror itself and then physically mod (replace LED or display).
I doubt there is an easy color mod fix, although I suppose you could stick a piece of bluish transparency and see if you end up with something more purplish in color?
The touring mirror is a different beast altogether as it contains the internal display for the high up rear view camera.

I think that is an option only available with the "smart auto dimming mirror" on the Touring model.

I asked about mirror direction indicator today at my Encore, because 'red' = 'danger' so found it distracting.

If you hold down the auto-dimming button (located in the center of the mirror) for a while, the auto-dimming is still on, but the red direction indicator goes away.
