I’ll never buy another Subaru again

I’m sure that I’m being petty but I’ve had my window channel rubber replaced 13 months ago and was told that it’s not covered by the gold plus warranty because it’s a wear item like a wiper blade. Now that it’s 13 months later they’re falling apart again and of course I’m being told that it’ll cost me $194 per window to fix them again. Never in my life have I needed to replace window channels in any car and am I expected to pay up to $800 a year to replace them? NEVER AGAIN Subaru!

you can respond in any way you see fit, but IMO you are jumping the gun - big time. Contact SOA as I posted elsewhere and they will address the issue.

Can you share pics please? Mine are fine, even with what crazy stuff they go through.

I'm in the same situation. I have an issue with hood vibrations on my ascent and I've also been told that it's not covered by the gold plus warranty. Nothing wear and tear with my issue and no one can tell me why it's not covered. I've not had these type of issues with my non-Subaru cars so I can understand the sentiment. And after reading your post I'm starting to think the gold plus warranty is just a scam.

are you telling us that SOA told you the hood vibrations are not covered? that is a known issue and as I recall there is a TSB on it. There is a thread on this forum about the issue as well.

Something doesn't add up here, did you purchase your car NEW or used? I thought I would never buy a Subaru but now I'm onto my 4th one.

Covered during the 3/36 warranty only, hence why I'm doing mine myself.

Hope not, plan on owning this vehicle for awhile🤞🏼so I went for that warranty hook, line, and sinker.

It's covered under the 3/36K Bumper to Bumper warranty. I never bothered getting mine fixed - even though I bought the bonding agent to do it myself. It looks scary, but, that's about it.
