Just got my first Subaru (2020 Ascent Ltd) which is also first car with Apple Carplay. I understand that this is supposed to work with Waze, but can't get the Waze icon to display. iPhone 8 with OS 13.5.1.

To confirm, is CarPlay activating when you plug your phone in?

The CarPlay settings on your phone will be in settings>General>CarPlay>Subaru (after plugging in at least once)>customize

make sure Waze is downloaded to your phone from the App Store and selected on the settings screen and if you haven’t used accessories recently, also ensure your phone is unlocked.
