Hopefully your feeling well. Glad to see that fault was laid at the door of the one actually responsible. A friend of mine got t-boned when a cop ran a red light. My friend was issued a ticket at the scene by the cop who claimed he didn't yield to him even though no lights and sirens were on (the cop claimed they were). My friend was able to produce a witness who saw it all but the local police department wasn't giving up.

Great that the Police dept. accepted the fault for the accident. I'm sure that the dash cam footage from the police car was was used to determine fault. It is best to have your own dash cam to show your view of any incident, I know mine has saved me from a lot of misery twice when blame was in dispute after a fender bender. They are a wise investment, not having to pay the deductable paid for the camera.
