Hey all,

current Blobeye (2004 WRX) owner, but due to an expanding family, am looking to upgrade.
Was originally looking at the Pilot, but the Ascent looks pretty darn good (at least on paper and from preliminary reports).
Am planning on holding out till the first wave gets in this summer!
Unfortunately I missed out on the LA Auto show, but thanks to everyone who is posting their thoughts from the other parts of the country!

The summer isn't too far off and then you'll have a chance to test drive the Ascent! Did your local dealership give you a date on when the first wave will appear?

No, not yet. The nearest scooby dealer is about half an hour away for me, so I signed up for the email notification list. I figure people will start posting up sightings and such when it gets closer. In the meantime, our ‘16 CRV is perfectly serviceable (wifey just wants something with a bit more trunk space for the kids’ strollers and stuff).

I’m really hoping the ascent hits the sweet spot between AWD torque / pickup and rear cargo room with the third row folded down.

Good time to do some shopping around for a good detailing shop if you were interested in getting paint protection done along with any accessories.
Paint protection is one of the greatest investments you can make in a new vehicle.
