I gonna install a Garmin Dashcam on Ascent premium 2019.

did browse the forum for similar question but need to be sure about few things . appreciate any comment

1- for what kind of fuse tab should I get (saw someone said Low Profile mini fuse is that right and more precisely if this works: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B...title_oth_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3CUCPHY91XE4Q

2- do I need any fuse ? and if yes which one 5, 10 or 15 ?

3- which slot number I should use for Battery and ACC? saw the following on other discussion can someone please confirm: 7 for ACC and 28 for BAT

Thanks in advance

Maybe you saw my post, but I used 7 for switched power and 28 for battery. Mini-low-profile fuse taps in your link are correct. Install them with wire coming off to the left. I don't know what your camera requires but I assume a 5A fuse would be plenty.

What would be a good point to connect ground around the fuse box?
I use one of the bolts on one of the underside structural pieces, with an eyeloop/ring connector, for my CB.

I am strongly considering the Garmin Mini 2 because of its size and simplicity. Might even get one for the back. I came across this adapter that looks interesting. Any comments on if this will work with the Ascent?

Adapter: https://smile.amazon.com/Garmin-Con.../B094Y3KNFJ/ref=psdc_2230642011_t4_B0931YZ82P

Camera: https://smile.amazon.com/Garmin-140...s=garmin+dashcam+mini+2&qid=1631818798&sr=8-2

And would/could/should I also consider the parking cable they sell? https://smile.amazon.com/Garmin-010...a8ed3&pd_rd_wg=zc5wc&pd_rd_i=B06XTBPYS2&psc=1 or is this duplicative?

I'm a techie guy but this dash cam business is truly wild west territory.
