This was taken from a traded in Ascent with ~10k miles. It looks like it's never been used for actual towing. I bought it from a local dealership employee for my Ascent but I want a different model instead.

Haha I love seeing hitches, especially on big trucks, with all the paint still pristine. That's the best way to tell if its ever used.
Anyway good luck selling. I think your price is good but with the way the oem hitch is recommended around here it might be a hard sell.
In the mean time until you install a different model hitch did you reinstall the rear bumper?

I never installed it. I purchased from a Subaru dealer who took a trade-in and needed to remove the hitch to sell as a CPO (the CPO can't have anything after market, but we'll ignore the enlarged holes cut into the car frame). I did not realize that these mount on the underside of the frame and aren't covered by the bumper when I bought it, I really want a hidden hitch instead.
But yes, I will be one of those trucks with a 5000lb hitch that will only be used to carry kid's bicycles to the camping trip.
I do need the hitch for the eventual fishing trip, but since it'll be mostly unused I rather have it hidden.
