It looks like owners are leery of "souping up" their Ascent. Now if this was for a WRX, it would have sold at full price in less than a week.

Yeah, I don’t get it. I’ve been modding Subarus of all shapes and sizes using Access Ports since about 2004 without a single issue, including the turbo Ascent with CVT and a turbo Forester with CVT. The AP has nothing to do with the broken Ascent CVTs.

If you still have this when Cobb adds the 2023 Ascent I'd snap this up in a heartbeat.
I am a long time Cobb customer. Had a v1 on my 2006 Forester XT (upgraded it to a v3 a few years back when I had it retuned).

So...

• I am not saying that this changes throttle management to make acceleration much smoother for those with a touchy foot (or who get lazy, like I do).
• I am not saying that it makes getting EPA ratings easier by making the throttle tip-in less jumpy.
• I am not saying that the 87+ tune is fun.
• I am not saying that the 87 Eco tune is a great way of saving extra gas for those who don't like stomping it like I do.

(Actually, yes, I am saying all of that)

I paid a LOT more for mine, even when I bought it on a crazy preorder sale when it first came out.

I check Cobb's website a couple times a week (and I had signed up for email notification as well). I am hoping that their OTS maps will suffice and won't cause me to consider a custom protune. Just have to keep reminding myself...this is the family hauler, this is the family hauler. My other Subaru is the fast one that handles insanely well .
