Hi! I am looking to buy ONE Aero (regular) Crossbar for my Ascent. Front or rear. Failing finding one by May, I'd take two. Please make me an offer if you have one. I know a couple of you bent one with kayaks, and am hoping you may have the remaining bar still lying around. I need a third for my extended Rola rack.

I might be selling a pair of these:

They are super strong, but they raise my cargo box too high to fit under the garage door. I might have to go with low profile aero style that don't extend so much above the rails.

One has to be out there, be patient. I'm still looking for one Ascent 18" wheel to match my other 4 and use as a full size spare with another equal size tire. (but patience isn't my long suit...lol)

Yep. I'm looking at mid position, and pushing the existing to their farthest extremes forward and back. I have a bit of wiggle room since I don't need an exact placement.

Rear would be more ideal, but front also works, especially since that's where water storage is being moved.

I think the rail is a different shape. Subaru seems to use a different shape on each car.

I have two Thule aero crossbars that I used for my 2017 OB Touring. I gave the car to my MIL before I got my Ascent. She’s 85 so long past needing them! So if you think they will work, I will send them to you as thanks for all you do for the forum. I can dig them out off of a top shelf in the garage and measure the width if you’re interested. Just let me know.

I had tried to sell these before for like $100 but shipping costs got close to like $45 and the sale fell through because of it, and i don't want you to get blindsided. The box won't be heavy, just long.

Understand… but it’s more about the length of the bars required for an ascent vs OB … I have a friend who has a thule distribution business and they sell clamps that wrap around roof rails like what we have on the ascent, and which slide into the Thule aero rails. They are not very expensive, and work great. We used them on our son’s crosstrek. Happy to send you the bars for free. I will cover shipping. You can find a way to attach them if you work a little on it. Just send me a PM if you want them.
