first cross country trip

Just took our new Ascent touring on an 800 mile plus, trek to Hilton Head. We love it even more! The lane assist and cruise control was flawless and made the trip a joy. The ride was excellent,(we were fully loaded with the captains chairs folded down to accommodate additional baggage) and had plenty of power through the mountains without premium gas. We averaged 24.8 mpg for the entire trip, with my wife driving the speed limit for about 40% and me at 10 over the speed limit for @ 60%. We topped off the tank at bathroom breaks rather than taking bathroom breaks every time we had to stop for gas!!!! That was nice. Also..we did not see another Ascent the entire trip, and have yet to see one on the island since we arrived a week ago!!!!!!. A real joy to drive on the highway.
