I had posted earlier in May when the card was hit and run in the middle of the night causing damage to the Right Rear side.
My wait was frustrating because it was the worst time to get involved in an accident with no fault of mine. The parts needed were on back order
and were not available any where.
Yesterday was my lucky day as the car was restored and I am very happy with the work done. Attaching few pictures of damage before and after the final restoration.

Damage:

After Being Restored:

Aww sorry for the repairs your ascent had to go through! Too bad it lost some value now that your vehicle will be listed on carfax for accidents
I understand that but that was no fault on mine. It was hit and run and could not trace the culprit. I tend to look at life in a positive way. No one was hurt in my family that's great news..
Money comes and goes one should look at life in a positive way, so the value will be little less of my car. Money is not everything in life as I will still enjoy my new car fully restored with the family as it is as good as brand new for now :munching:

The current outback commercial shows the outback getting dented and scratched and says how the resale value is best in its class. My guess is that outside of Subaru loyalists, the Ascent's resale value is going to hinge more on resolving its ongoing CVT reputation than Carfax reports.

Your Subie looks good then & now. I’m really enjoying our family Ascent very much. Got it right at the beginning of summer makes me wonder what if I would have got the Ascent last summer?

Looks flawless. Don't worry if I can't find a blend and fill
line anywhere no one can. It's perfect, I hope mine turns
out as well. They had my parts in stock problem is they jumped
on the car and when they went to put in the rear module it was
damaged from shipping. But they still have 9 days to promise date.
So my fingers are crossed and my polishing rags are ready. Ive been poishing on my VW bui know all my polshing is gonna be very oxidised
by now. And will all need to be redone.

Keep your fingers crossed and rags ready as I am sure the car will be done right. It is amazing what they can do today to restore the car to its former state. Keep us informed and I wish you the very best.

I don’t think the Ascent value is holding well. My 22 touring fully loaded (tow pkg, wireless, led upgrade, and more) with no scratches (never saw a car wash) and 12,500 miles was valued at $39,000 for trade because Subaru delivery window is now down to 3 months. Quite a loss for a car that was $49,000 plus add-ons.

Trade value can vary considerably depending on the source of the offer.
