After our Ascent came back from the dealer with rear end damage (a story for another time) our Lane Keep Assist is active and will not turn off using the button on the ceiling.

Pushing and holding the button will show the off light for lane keep assist in the guage cluster, but it is still enabled.

Was there a software update that does not allow this to be disabled? Or is this another thing that needs to be fixed?

The ceiling button is used to disable Lane Departure Warnings. Use the Lane Keep Assist button on the right side of your steering wheel to disable Lane Keep Assist.

Thanks, since I haven't had to mess with it since we bought it and turned it off remembering how to do it was fuzzy 🤦🏼‍♂️

LOL, yeah, there's like a gazillion buttons between steering wheel, overhead map light area, buttons in front of the driver's left knee, and buttons near the cubby. Not joking, even I have to look to figure out which is which from time to time. ;)

Lol, isn't there something like 16-18 controls on the steering wheel?

Not to mention trying to remember if the setting you're looking for is on the dashboard with the steering wheel button to control, the MFD or the upper center display (whatever that's called). It's like an Airbus A380 in there.
