Pricing for the Canada spec 2019 Subaru Ascent is now available and a base trim three-row SUV will set you back $35,995 when it goes on sale this summer.

Though rival models like the Ford Explorer and Chevy Traverse are slightly cheaper, those preferring AWD will need to shell out an additional $3,000 whereas the Ascent comes standard with full-time all-wheel drive. Those on the market for a family hauler will be hard pressed to find of similar value, especially when you take into account laundry list of standard features it comes with. There’s Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration, heated seats, three-zone automatic climate control and EyeSight safety tech to name a few.

One step up is the touring model which starts at $40,995 and it comes with an additional panoramic sunroof, 8-inch infotainment system, power rear tailgate, etc. For a bit more, you can even get it with Captain’s chairs. The same chairs are offered with the $46,495 Limited model, tough its

Each trim is equipped with a 2.4L turbocharge boxer engine, which is good for 260 hp and 277 lb-ft or torque. Combined with a Lineartronic CVT with an eight-speed manual mode, the Ascent certainly stands out in its segment.
