Has anyone ever used the blue steel protection to fix door dings? We just bought a used 2019 Crosstrek and it had that applied to the price, but it also came with a nice ding in the door. They tried to remove the ding, but I asked what good the policy is on removing door dings if they cannot remove door dings. It's not a huge cost, and the policy covers windshield damage (chips/cracks), so it seems to have value.
So I am hoping to hear from others who had this coverage and have used it to repair minor door dings. I'd love to know how well the repairs went and how much of a hassle it was since I think it requires pre-approval.

Sounds like a dealer provided third party product. I've personally never heard of it. If it doesn't cover PDR, at least PDR is relatively inexpensive compared to normal body work.

Yes a 3rd party product. I assume most dealers have that or something like it. I should check into ding removal prices.
