blue coolant temperature light

Hi everybody, we recently bought a 2019 Limited, and from some days ago till now, I have noticed it has stopped showing the blue light when you turn on the car in the morning. Does anybody know what this might be? It's still warming up at 1500 and then lowers after 2 minutes to 700 rpm.
I looked in the manual, but it seems this light is not considered important as it doesn't show anything for this light failure.

The Ascent does not have a blue coolant light. It has an electronic "sweep gauge" with a "cold" zone on the bottom.

  • 2022 FozW uses lights (blue, red, or nothing lit), and has no gauge.

Thanks for the info, very complete! I swear I saw it, but I keep switching between this car and the crosstrek that I'm sure it has; and when I asked her, she told me that indeed it had turned off several days ago; she also went to the dealer, and they told me that it sure does have one but not to worry if it turns off.

LOL, I've done the same, when switching around cars. I even messed up an answer in the Outback forums a while back, from thinking about my Ascent instead of my former Outback, lol!!! I usually check my notes and the tech resources now, because of that incident.

It's gotta be even worse for dealership employees who switch what cars they're dealing with multiple times a day.
