Will be getting new tires in the fall. If I can find a set of 18" wheels I will switch from my 20". If not I'll stick with he 20's.
Keep checking Facebook Marketplace. I found a set of 4 mint 18" takeoffs from a Premium for $200. I see 2 or 3 sets on there now, one set for $150 in Arkansas. Hopefully, you can find a set close enough to pick up, as shipping is a b*tch. I find the 18" ride better and have room to air down for sand or mud. I also prefer the looks of a higher sidewall tire. Will be getting new tires in the fall. If I can find a set of 18" wheels I will switch from my 20". If not I'll stick with he 20's.
I believe there are, but be careful with the weight ratings and most require different lug nuts. I opted for Michelin CC2s in 235/65R18 for year-round use. I've been thru 2 good snowstorms without problems, and they perform great on dry and wet roads as well. Are there any generic steel wheels that fit the Ascent? Thinking about mounting snow tires as a separate set.

Keep an eye on FB Marketplace, and also Craigslist. Hopefully, you can find a set of 18" OEM Base/Premium wheels for a good price. I see quite a few Outback and Impressa 18" wheels, but they won't match the weight rating for an Ascent, and caliper clearance is also an issue. The 18" Ascent wheels are the best bet.A little over 2 hours. I'm in central NJ
Those steelies have 40mm offset, and the Ascent 18"s are 55mm. That may, or may not be an issue. I looked at some 18" Mazda CX9 takeoffs with 40mm offset and they didn't clear the calipers on the Ascent. This site is selling 18" steel wheels - can't see where it shows weight rating, and they're 132 a piece, so not sure it is worth it. You can get some nicer ones for a few bucks more at Tirerack & other places. If you don't find a FB deal.
