Yes. Looks just like my Forester splash guards.
Sorry, Missouri.
No wonder you root for the Broncos!! haha The NFL stole your team, unless you count K.C.Sorry, Missouri.
Broncos teaser. I haven't seen any Ascents on the road and the dealer just has the lettered up Demo.Sorry, Missouri.
Confirmed.I know, crazy... but confirm for me that I got the splash guards I ordered. It looks like I did, but if so, they don’t extend down quite as far as I expected, which makes me question them.
Confirmed.
They're splash guards, not mud flaps...
I agree the splash guards aren't going to stop much mud, but they are an improvement over not having them installed. Like mentioned earlier, if they extended further down, ground clearance claims would likely be affected. For the minority of people that will need added protection over what the splash guards provide, the aftermarket (Rally Armor, RokBlokz) will surely have more robust offerings in the near future. That makes total sense. They absolutely would not stop any mud. The fact that Subaru even charges extra for those is ridiculous - I know all manufacturers count those as accessories. The price should be no more than $20/pair.
Do you get (4) or (2) for that price? WOW!! Honda only charges around $100 for (4).yeah... those are just... weak for $168 :O
I think I'll wait a little bit and see if I can pick them up for cheaper later on, or find a more robust aftermarket variant.
You get both front and rear, so 4 total. According to Subaru Online Parts, MSRP for all 4 is $119.98, although they sell them for less than $100.Do you get (4) or (2) for that price? WOW!! Honda only charges around $100 for (4).
MSRP is $168, cost is basically $110 installed at port. It's a .35 port install labor item, .37 dealer install labor time item. Are you guys really getting charged $168 for the splash guards? I thought it was $78 invoice and $120 MSRP? That was based on someone providing invoice v. MSRP prices in another thread. I'm expecting to pay invoice for them, and my overall pre-order numbers look right against the $78 invoice price.
Unfortunately, my dealer didn't break down the cost of each add-on. If I am being charged $168 for splash guards, my dealer must be making it cheaper for other accessories that I ordered.
That's definitely more reasonable. You have to shop around parts just like you would anything. My local Subaru dealer charges about 20% below MSRP for parts. My Honda dealer charges right around MSRP. My Toyota dealer charges over MSRP for most parts. Needless to say, I don't purchase parts from my Toyota dealer unless they run a special on wiper blades or oil/air filters. You get both front and rear, so 4 total.
