Hello I have a 2023 ascent and I've been having issues with car play recently. about 50% of the time when I press the voice command button I get Carplay the other half of the time I get the native voice command which does not work very well. This will happening even in the same trip without me turning off the car or turning off my phone. Has anybody else experiencing this and if so how do I correct this problem?

Be sure you are pressing the Voice Command button correctly for achieving connection to Siri/CarPlay. Same button is used for both native and Siri/CP, but the press is different. (I don't use this function so you will have to read the instructions in the manual for the correct press for what you want to do)
Yes. Did you turn the CarPlay toggle to on for your iPhone? I have used wired CarPlay for years on our 2019 and earlier this year bought a dongle for CarPlay to use wirelessly.
