Volvo has Turbo charged and Super charged with 2000cc. Could we add on Super Charged to Ascent ? Turbo charged vs Super charged, what's difference and which better ?

No....The Volvo system is very specific. There have been ideas floated about dual systems for the previews 2.5H4t. If were possible, one of those power hungry LGT guys would have done it already.

You want more power? That means bigger turbo, bigger fuel delivery, and a bigger turbo back exhaust. Oh, and someone to tune it.

Supercharger is RPM dependent and the turbocharger is load dependent as a very rough base comparison. Merging the two could give nice performance but would not be easy as any kind of aftermarket application.

You could add it and relocate the intercooler for FMIC. However if you’re aiming for more power at lower RPM, <2000rpm, then addition of supercharger maybe relevant.

Keep in mind, it’s a complex formulation with different variables. The Volvo is an in-line 2.0L engine and ours are 2.4L flat engine

This system causes some major oil burn issues Volvo is trying to hide. Don’t know the engineering behind why it does it but people who driving those engines hard are seeing massive burn at low miles.

Just swap in a Ford Coyote 5.0 V8...make a few other minor adjustments, and voila!:tango_face_wink:
Depends what you're aiming for, speed or torque/towing. If for speed, you want to shoe-horn the boosted 3.5L w/ a tune. There's a YT vid comparing the F150 supercrew Coyote, 2.7L turbo, and 3.5L turbo for speed. The 3.5L turbo was the best one.
