PLEASE MODS....MAKE A STICKY FOR 17" WHEELS THAT FIT!!!!!!!

Hey everyone! Just installed some new wheels and snow tires! 17" Fifteen52 Traverse MX (Magnesium Grey) and 245/70r17 Nitto SN2 snow tires.

We just picked up a 21 Ascent last week and being in Iowa I will always have snow tires on my wife's for her safety and her lack of situational awareness to road conditions (it's true..but I still love her lol). I did A LOT of research looking for 17's that fit. I found a random member on a Facebook page that had these wheels so I went for them! PLUS @Discount Tire has Fifteen52 wheels 25% off till the end of the month!

The wife likes them so much we just ordered a second set with Falken AT Trails for summer since the deals on both the wheels and tires are so good right now.

Review:
Wheels - Love the looks, they are far lighter than the factory 20" wheels (that was expected) and I know they are very high quality wheels! They also work with stock lug nuts if you're cool with that. Also resale on Fifteen52 wheels is close to new price depending on condition if we want a change later in life.

Tires - AMAZING grip in bad weather! Luckily (for me anyways, I love bad weather driving) we got some pretty bad weather after I installed them. On my way back from my buddies shop (60 miles away) it started sleeting and then snow. I never felt like I wasn't in control. I was going between 70-75mph (I don't need your driving tips, thanks) not realizing how slick it was until I got caught up in traffic that was going 45mph!! I saw many vehicles in the ditches and even saw a semi passing another semi start sliding and they hit each other on their inboard sides!!! I thought I was going to see a wicked accident, luckily they both kept calm and in control just taking out each others mirrors. Anyway...back to the tires. They are quiet at interstate speeds and are a bit floaty feeling which is expected somewhat with snow tires. There is an odd whine at lower speeds (35-45mph) on certain surfaces, but not many. I currently have the tire pressure 36 front and 35 rear.

Now to some pictures!! I have black lug nuts coming to replace the stock chrome ones.

Looks great! Wish they came in 18s.
I agree, I wished they did too. But Fifteen52 doesn't get too involve in anything larger than 17" for some reason. But I will say that with the 17's it makes the car look like a larger forester rather than just another mid size SUV. The guys at Discount Tire were really surprised how much it transformed the car.

Thank you for taking the time to post your thoughts on the tires and wheels along with some outstanding photos. That must have been a scary moment watching the semis touch. I'm glad to hear they were able to avoid a large collision.

Good choice on the Fifteen 52 wheels, they look great.
